This tool serves as a reference for states as they plan for the timely and accurate submission of the 618 data collections. Each collection report includes a designated due date with timelines for each collection’s tasks and activities.

Assessment
Data are due on the second Wednesday in January. The next submission date is 1/10/2024.
- States, LEAs, and schools report the number of students with disabilities who took an assessment and received a valid score for Mathematics and Reading/Language Arts.
- Assessment data are included within the EDFacts Assessment files for all students.
- Data represent the state assessment testing window that school year.
- Includes information from EDFacts files FS175, FS178, FS179, FS185, FS188, and FS189.
Data are due on the second Wednesday in January. The next submission date is 1/10/2024.

Suggested Tasks
- Verify that the state submitted Assessment files successfully before the due date.
- Analyze the data the state submitted according to the requirements for SPP/APR indicators 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D for 4th grade, 8th grade, and high school to compare to the prepopulated data in your state's SPP/APR and prepare for narratives to address slippage.

The next submission date is 7/31/2024.
- States and LEAs report the unduplicated number of children with disabilities (IDEA) who are receiving services and are ages 3 through 5 and not kindergarten and ages 5 (in kindergarten) through 21.
- States collect data on the specified Child Count date on or between October 1 and December 1.
- Includes information from EDFacts file FS002 and FS089.
The next submission date is 7/31/2024.
January
Suggested Tasks
- For states with a January 1 Child Count date, begin collecting Child Count and Educational Environments data.
- Provide LEAs with TA, as needed, on Child Count and Educational Environments data, including
- guidance on eligibility category, demographics, and other data specific to individual students;
- support for LEA's concerns or data issues regarding the enrollment of a child as of the Child Count date; and
- Educational Environments, ensuring LEAs report students with the educational environment according to the student's IEP.
February

- Review the data (if available) for students who were receiving special education and related services on the state's Child Count date (i.e., the state-specific date between October 1 and December 1).
- Work with LEAs to

- States report the number of occurrences of written, signed complaints; mediation requests; due process complaints; and expedited due process complaints.
- Data represent the reporting period between July 1 and June 30.
- Includes information from data collected from the state's system for collecting dispute resolution data.
Data are due on the third Wednesday in November following the end of the reporting period. The next submission date is 11/15/2023.
