A Quick Guide to Online SPP/APR Resources and OSEP Updates

Are you familiar with the variety of SPP/APR resources OSEP makes available online? There are several websites that may be helpful for states to bookmark and visit regularly in order to access the most up-to-date information on the SPP/APR and other important news from OSEP.

  1. States can access their most recent OSEP Determination Letters, as well as a DOCX version of their FFY 2018 SPP/APR submissions, on the ED.gov website. This site also includes an overview of how the Department made state determinations.
  2. On ED's IDEA website under the State Formula Grants section, states can access general SPP/APR resources, the FFY 2019 SPP/APR Package (due in 2021), and the recently finalized FFY 2020-25 SPP/APR Package (due in 2022).
  3. The SPP/APR Community of Practice (CoP) website includes a page devoted to SPP/APR information. The final FFY 2016 and FFY 2017 SPP/APR documents and attachments are available and accessible under the Collaborate tab and are posted separately by each state and for each year. The bottom of the Resources page also includes all SPP/APR broadcasts. (Please note that FFY 2013 through FFY 2015 SPP/APRs and documents will only be available upon individual request to the Partner Support Center.)
  4.  The MSIP Program Area page of the OSEP IDEAs That Work page provides helpful updates and resources for states related to MSIP activities. State can find registration information for future OSEP monthly TA calls (as well as PowerPoints and recordings of past monthly calls), a sampling of resources and supports related to implementation of IDEA, and a portal to a collaboration space for the SPP/APR Community.

For any questions related to the SPP/APR or MSIP activities, states can contact their OSEP State Lead. For any questions related to the submission of the SPP/APR or EDFacts, states can contact Partner Support Center: 877-457-3336 (877-HLP-EDEN). States also can reach out to their IDC State Liaison with any technical assistance needs or questions!
