    NTACT:C will host its annual Capacity Building Institute for state teams virtually, May 3 - 5, 2022. 

  • Understanding and Using Data to Improve Outcomes for Students with Disabilities – Webinar

    The purposes of this webinar are to provide an introduction to the RSA and IDEA data states collect and describe how these data can be used for program improvement. The intended audiences for this webinar are new state and local agency personnel from vocational rehabilitation and education systems, and those who are curious about the other agency’s data requirements.

    Training Objectives: 

    • Provide a historical context and an overview of the performance indicators and data collection for students with disabilities through the lens of special education and the VR Program.
    • Describe the timelines for data collection and reporting to OSEP and RSA.
    • Discuss challenges and best practices for both special education and VR, including opportunities for data sharing and data driven decision making.

    SPP/APR Indicator 6A data have not budged in decades. Is it true that there hasn’t been progress on inclusion for preschoolers with disabilities or are data quality issues preventing us from seeing progress? Join us to explore solutions to promote high-quality preschool inclusion practices and methods to improve data quality for indicator 6A. We will dig deeper to understand the relationship between inclusion, placement practices, and quality data collection.

    The Center for IDEA Fiscal Reporting (CIFR) will host the IDEA Fiscal Forum 2022 virtually for Part B state staff from March 21–24, 2022. IDEA Fiscal Forums provide opportunities for state directors of special education and IDEA fiscal staff to build knowledge and capacity by connecting and sharing with peers on critical IDEA fiscal issues.  The IDEA Fiscal Forum 2022 will

    - Improve participant knowledge and increase fidelity of implementation of IDEA fiscal requirements to ensure appropriate use and oversight of IDEA funds
