Leading by Example: Cultivating a Data Culture for Continuous Improvement

What leaders believe about data quality and what they do with the data matter. To learn about the attitudes and actions that will propel their data-driven culture forward, state leaders joined the IDEA Data Center and Data Quality Campaign staff to explore how leaders are building and implementing a strategic narrative for championing the use of high-quality data for improving results. State special education directors, Part B data managers, SPP/APR coordinators, policy advisers, program and content consultants, and other related state education agency staff heard from state leaders from the Tennessee Department of Education about how their roles as primary influencers play out in their contributions to the agency’s dynamic data culture.
