Sweet Sounds of Success: IDC’s A Date with Data Podcast Highlights State StoriesOne thing years of experience have taught us: States love stories. Specifically, states love stories about other states, challenges they’ve faced, processes and strategies they’ve employed, successes they’ve enjoyed. That was the spark behind IDC’s twice-monthly podcast, A Date with Data, now in its second year of production and an effort that is particularly relevant in light of the Department of Education’s recent focus on sharing out state success stories.

New IDC Podcast!Every year, IDC reviews and offers feedback on dozens of state SPP/APR submissions. From that vantage, our TA specialists gets a unique view of national patterns and trends. In this episode of A Date with Data, host Amy Bitterman sits down with our own TA specialists Rachel Wilkinson and Nancy Johnson to share a glimpse of this perspective, offering invaluable insights, advice, and tips that you might be able to use in your own SPP/APR.
States will find our IDEA Assessment Data Display Tool for SPP/APR Indicator 3 a great help as they prepare SEA-level data for submission via EDPass. This resource will help them to see how data may appear in the SPP/APR. States can review their current year's data for Indicators 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D using EDFacts files FS175, FS178, FS185, and FS188.
