    Developing Your Stakeholder Engagement Plan for the New SPP/APR Package

    This webinar provided an overview of the expanded stakeholder engagement requirements for the FFY 2020–2025 SPP/APRs. Presenters shared strategies for organizing and involving stakeholders in the development and implementation of their SPP/APRs. Webinar participants shared their ideas and approaches for developing a stakeholder engagement plan. Throughout the presentation, IDC staff highlighted helpful resources to support meaningfully involving stakeholders in decision making.

    Writing an Effective FFY 2019 State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report

    Experienced IDC staff guided states through the process of State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report writing. Presenters detailed guidance OSEP provided for the reporting process and will draw upon their years of experience to provide helpful tips that have proven effective for other states. Participants learned about common issues or pitfalls in report writing and how to find solutions prior to submitting their reports. Presenters shared effective and complete writing samples along with less effective samples. Staff from North Carolina shared the state’s writing experiences and lessons learned.

    New SPP/APR Stakeholder Engagement and Data Requirements

    IDC’s October webinar focused on two primary areas of change in the new SPP/APR package: Stakeholder Engagement and SPP/APR Data Requirements. Presenters helped states understand the new stakeholder engagement and data requirements and identify potential actions they can take to prepare for timely implementation of these changes. Presenters payed specific attention to data source changes for indicators 1, 5, 6, 13, and 14. In addition, participants heard state perspectives on how state staff are conceptualizing or implementing new approaches to meet the new requirements.

    The Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2019 Indicator Analyses presents a national quantitative picture of the implementation of Part B of IDEA based on a review of information 60 states and jurisdictions reported in the FFY 2017 APRs and amended SPPs they submitted to OSEP in spring 2019.

    Part C State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2018 Indicator Analyses

    The Part C State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2018 Indicator Analyses presents a national picture of the implementation of Part C of IDEA based on a review of information 56 states and jurisdictions (55 for Indicator 11) reported in their FFY 2016 APRs and amended state-submitted 2017 SPPs/APRs. For the purposes of the report, the term “state” is used for both states and jurisdictions. The report, which covers Part C Indicators 1 through 11, can be downloaded.

    The Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2018 Indicator Analyses presents a national quantitative picture of the implementation of Part B of IDEA based on a review of information 60 states and jurisdictions reported in the FFY 2016 APRs and amended SPPs they submitted to OSEP in spring 2018. For the purposes of the report, the term “state” is used for both states and territories. The report covers Part B Indicators 1 through 17.
