During this session, the presenters walked participants through a structured process for guiding conversations using data and making data-informed decisions. The presenter demonstrated the flexible use of IDC’s Data Meeting Protocol across a variety of data and with diverse groups and stakeholders.

This workshop gave participants the opportunity to practice applying the IDC Data Meeting Protocol to engage diverse groups and stakeholders in data discussions and decisionmaking. Facilitated discussions allowed participants to try out strategies for planning, meeting, and following up on group data use.

The Interactive Public Reporting Engine displays the complete set of IDEA data that states collect and submit to OSEP to meet the requirements of Section 618 of IDEA. This tool displays each dataset and the required disaggregations such as race/ethnicity, gender, and age. It provides a more dynamic way for states to meet the 618 public reporting requirements, and linking to the tool fulfills the public reporting requirements. In addition, use of the tool promotes conversations about how to improve results among families, teachers, schools, related service providers, administrators, policymakers, and other interested stakeholders.

The list provides a brief description and link to each tool or product. Users can quickly scan for useful tools and products to ensure that they have explored all of the many Part B available resources that IDC has produced.

This session highlighted Florida and New Jersey as presenters. They told their states' stories of how they have created a culture of high-quality data.

Strategies are presented to support the Coherent Improvement Strategies in states' Phase I Part B SSIPs. Reading SIMRS are highlighted.
