IDEA Data Quality: Outlier Analyses ToolsIDC designed these two technical assistance products to be used by state personnel responsible for IDEA 618 and/or 616 data. The products include a step-by-step guide on completing an outlier analysis, with a brief introduction on the principles of outlier analyses, and a tool state staff can use to conduct outlier analyses with their local data. IDEA Part B state staff working with LEAs also can use both products to analyze their local data.

IDEA Part B Discipline Data Collection Questions and AnswersThe purpose of this document is to assist states with the collection of data on children with disabilities served under IDEA who were subject to disciplinary removal. States can use this document to supplement the instructions provided in the EDFacts file specifications for the EDFacts files that are used to report IDEA disciplinary removal data (C005, C006, C007, C088, C143, and C144).

IDEA Part B Federal Reporting Years ReferenceThis reference illustrates the differences among school year (SY), federal fiscal year (FFY), and calendar year (CY)—that is, types of years—as they relate to data that states collect and report to meet their Part B IDEA federal reporting requirements. States can use this handy reference for preparing and submitting their State Performance Plans/Annual Performance Reports (SPPs/APRs). To report on the 17 different SPP/APR indicators, states use data reflecting different types of years, with unique dates associated with the years.

IDEA Part B Indicator 12 Transition Template: Calculating Data WorksheetThe tool converts state and LEAs early childhood transition data into percentages. Use of the tool enables states to see real-time percentages of children ages 3-5 in the transition reporting categories and compare the percentages of children within the categories across LEAs.
