The Annual Report to Congress on IDEA: Uses Outside the Beltway PPTIDEA requires the U.S. Department of Education to submit an annual report to Congress on the progress of the nation in implementing IDEA to improve early intervention, educational results, and functional outcomes for infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities. During this presentation at the 2019 OSEP Leadership Conference, participants learned what the annual report to Congress is all about, how they can use this concise data resource, and why they should care about it.

South Carolina SSIP Partners’ InventoryAs a part of developing their SSIP Phase I, the South Carolina Department of Education chose to use the IDC Equity, Inclusion, and Opportunity: How to Address Success Gaps, Rubric to inform their work. SC state staff developed the SC SSIP Partners' Inventory by reformatting content in the Success Gaps rubric, breaking apart some of the more complex components of the rubric into more concise elements that could be rated more easily on a Likert-type rating scale.

Quick Reference Guide on IDEA Maintenance of State Financial SupportDeveloped by CIFR, this two-page quick reference guide assists states and stakeholders in better understanding the basics of the MFS requirements stipulated in the IDEA. The guide describes the requirements, types of financial support states may make available, reporting obligations, and MFS waivers. It concludes with questions for states to consider and additional resources.

Part C State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2018 Indicator AnalysesThe Part C State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2018 Indicator Analyses presents a national picture of the implementation of Part C of IDEA based on a review of information 56 states and jurisdictions (55 for Indicator 11) reported in their FFY 2016 APRs and amended state-submitted 2017 SPPs/APRs. For the purposes of the report, the term “state” is used for both states and jurisdictions. The report, which covers Part C Indicators 1 through 11, can be downloaded.
