    The presentation provides strategies that are important to providing high-quality preschool programs. Specifically, the information focuses on how high-quality preschool programs support improvement in the Part B SIMR. The presentation includes strategies that ensure high-quality early childhood programs as a critical first step toward later school success.

    Implications of Growth Modeling for SSIP: Measuring Growth Within the SSIP Process

    Growth models provide states with an option for determining how to measure progress toward a student level SIMR outcome. Participants discussed and provided input into development of an IDC white paper that focuses on different growth model approaches, the data requirements, and analytic approach in order to use a growth model approach to measure growth toward a SIMR student outcome. Currently, the white papers is in draft form and undergoing revisions based on input from the field. The published paper will be posted to the IDC Resource Library and affiliated as a related resource to the handouts already posted for this session.

    Considerations for Making Changes to SIMR Baselines and Targets

    The presentation examines the reasons why states would change baselines or targets for their SSIPs. Topics addressed include changes in assessments, data collection methods, and data quality. Participants discussed and provided input into an  IDC white paper on the topic. Currently, the white paper is in draft form and undergoing revisions based on input from the field. The published paper will be posted to the IDC Resource Library and affiliated as a related resource to the handout already posted for this session.

    Data Sharing Agreement Checklist for IDEA Part C and Part B 619 Agencies and Programs

    This 2014 document is an adaptation of the 2012 release of Data Sharing Agreement Checklist intended for K-12 audiences. Presented as a checklist, the document summarizes the requirements for the written agreements under the audit or evaluation exception that is specified in FERPA and that also applies to the IDEA for Part C early intervention and Part B 619 preschool special education.
