IDC's Data Thought—All Data Are Not the Same
Using data that are of questionable quality is worse than using no data at all.
Data that are not timely, accurate, and complete paint an incorrect picture of the reality you want the data to describe.
Thus, using flawed data undermines decisionmaking processes and results in decisions that are poorly aligned with the problems they are trying to address.
And, decisions based on flawed data may do more harm than good.
