CIFR, IDC, and NCSI Fiscal Support Team are collaborating to provide their next level of support to new IDEA fiscal staff and state directors. Prior supports include the Foundations of IDEA Fiscal Management Webinar and the IDEA Fiscal Forum. Two new major efforts to build on this earlier work are quarterly webinars regarding IDEA fiscal processes, data collection, and reporting. The first webinar will  prepare fiscal staff for upcoming obligations of gathering, analyzing, and reporting fiscal data, supporting fiscal processes, and meeting other fiscal requirements. This will include basic information about what is due, actions states should be doing now to prepare, and issues to keep in mind while going through these steps. Webinar connection information is below.

The second major effort, a collaboration between CIFR and NCSI,  will include monthly hour-long "open door" calls focusing on a major topic or process raised during CoP calls. It can be challenging for new staff to ask questions during CoP calls. The open door conversations are designed to encourage questions from new staff and build on the CoP learning. The first call is scheduled for April 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm EST to provide a more in-depth discussion of risk-based monitoring. Details will follow.
